Is a paramedic / firefighter with 17 years experience in Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Department. Currently assigned to the recruitment section, she engages new talent through community outreach & social media advertising. Alyssa routinely works to keep ideas fresh. She is credited with creating and implementing orientation for incoming recruits. Alyssa also works to keep lines of communication open with other sections in the FCFRD thereby creating a positive applicant experience and a cohesive workplace.

Beginning his career with the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Department in 2005, Captain Clay Dickens is the Recruitment Section Program Manger for his department, and a member of the Fire Chief's Equity & Inclusion Leadership Council. He believes in being active in the communities he serves and ensuring the recruitment section continues to recruit a diverse applicant pool, that reflects the communities of Fairfax County.
